Prayer of Salvation
“Lord God, I admit that I have done things that are wrong. Thank you for sending your son Jesus, who died to take away all my sins. Please forgive me. I receive your forgiveness now and declare that I want to live for you for the rest of my life. Come into my heart and fill me with your Holy Spirit.”
What This Means
If you earnestly prayed that prayer, or something similar, and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God–His Word made flesh, then welcome to the family! Christ died so that we may have a right relationship with God the Father and He will return one day to receive His own. The indwelling Holy Spirit comforts us and guides us until the day of His return.
